With the true rebirth of the X-Men franchise now done (via Days of Future Past), we knew it was only a matter of time before certain characters were phased out, or the people playing them simply leave.

For Jennifer Lawrence, who has played Mystique in the last two X-Men movies, that time is coming up. She confirmed that the upcoming film X-Men: Apocalypse will be her last as Mystique.

“It’s my last one actually, yes.” she stated in an interview.

Though the main characters in the first two were undoubtably Xavier and Magneto, Mystique played a big role in both films, and is rumored to be just as big in Apocalypse. It’ll be curious to see how her story ends.
