Marvel developing 4 new TV shows and a mini-series

October 15th, 2013 by Edwin Torres Jr 3 Comments

According to Deadline, Marvel have been:

quietly putting together a package of four drama series and a miniseries — a total of some 60 episodes — that would be taken out to the VOD and cable space, with Netflix, Amazon and WGN America rumored as potential candidates.”

So in early stages, but they were unable to find anything else out since:

“The notorious secrecy that surrounds Marvel‘s projects has been heightened to the nth degree for this one. No one would breathe a word, with rumors that everyone from top to bottom is bound by strict nondisclosure agreements”

They also add that they are unsure whether the recently announced Agent carter series is part of the package.

The fact that it’s a package and 60 episodes seems to suggest there will be some crossover action.

So what shows are you hoping for? Runaways? Daredevil? Heroes for Hire? Punisher?

Id like to see the incredible Hulk, Gambit, spider-Woman, and Silver Surfer as tv shows but I doubt that Marvel will do any of these. Shame though I think it would be 4 winners there.

That’s a bugger. Let’s hope they dont pick any characters that are too obscure. The average tv punter won’t care for super heroes they’ve never heard of.
