There’s a lot of talk about superheroes, but most people tend to forget that some of the most interesting characters are not all good and nice. The villains are the unsung heroes of our generation and if you take a closer look at them you will see that they have a lot more background and character development and are a lot more interesting and relatable.
The superhero craze has been going on for a couple of years now and we’ve seen tons of games with this theme appearing on PCs, mobile phones, online, on consoles etc. From video games to online slots, there are countless types of games, for both Marvel and DC fans. As you’ll see, in quantities, things are pretty equal. Depending on your taste you might find them equal as well or you might favour one or the other. Personally, we have a special relationship with Injustice, but that might be just us. The same thing applies to all types of Marvel and DC games, even when talking about slots it would be hard to compare Iron Man to Superman, Magneto to the Joker etc.
But let’s get back to villains. No matter if we’re talking about movies, comics or games, one thing is clear in the battle of Marvel villains vs DC villains in which you want to decide who are the darker characters DC wins.
Talking about sheer number of characters, both villains and heroes, DC beats Marvel but only because they’ve been around for a longer period of time. Some might argue that some characters are kind of recycled, thus making them tie at about 8000 characters.
But in an epic battle of Marvel villains vs DC villains who would win? We scoured the internet, watched movies, played games and came to a conclusion. Most people tend to agree that the best villain ever made (at least this far) is the Joker. Since the Joker is from the DC universe than we can conclude that DC wins, even though millions of Marvel fans might disagree and hate us for it.
Don’t worry Marvel fans, we still think that Marvel has given us a lot of characters, both positive and negative, that we just love. And if we had the time to think about real fights between all the villains the result might be different. I mean the Joker is crazy and amazing, but in a battle of force he would get totally killed. The Green Goblin might kill him, Dr Doom might kill him, Thanos or Venom etc, because no one is as nice as Batman to let him live.
