Michael B. Jordan talks Fantastic Four and confirms Star Wars: Episode VII Audition

October 10th, 2013 by Irwin Fletcher Comments

Answer me this, who is hotter than Michael B. Jordan right now? After his star role in this summer’s indie Fruitvale Station, which won both jury and audience awards at the Sundance Film Festival, the 26 year old actor is in discussions for key roles in several franchises. He’s been linked to a Rocky spin-off, the Independence Day sequel, the Fantastic Four reboot, and even Star Wars: Episode VII!

In an interview with the Huffington Post at People magazine’s “Ones To Watch” party yesterday Jordan said:

“You win Sundance, you pop up on a lot of peoples’ radar. So it’s been incredible. It’s a different conversation. Studios, producers, writers, directors — getting to know a lot of people in the industry.”

The actor is the only name that comes up so far to play Johnny Storm AKA The Human Torch in Josh Trank’s The Fantastic Four reboot. But when he was asked he would only say:

“Definitely interested in the project. Josh Trank is a buddy of mine.”

The Chronicle star also admitted that he is a “big fan” of Will Smith and Independence Day so:

“if that came true, that would be cool too.”

Finally Jordan who met George Lucas through the film Red Tails, confirmed that he has indeed auditioned for the J.J. Abrams helmed Star Wars: Episode VII. He says it was an unspecified part, and unlike Saoirse Ronan, he didn’t wield a lightsaber:

“I mean everybody’s going in on this project. They’re trying to figure out what they want. That’s another incredible franchise. It’s pretty crazy!…We’ll see how it happens. I don’t know how I can do everything.”

So is there anyone hotter right now?
