Michael Giacchino to score Star Wars Rebels?

October 18th, 2013 by Marc Comments

Michael Giacchino could be scoring the theme for Star Wars Rebels.

According to the guys at Making Star Wars, the long-time JJ Abrams collaborator is supposedly being considered for the position.

The site said: “Yesterday we ran a rumor that John Williams was scoring Star Wars Rebels which we heard from a source at USC. Our comrades at Jedi News heard J.J. Abrams was writing the theme song. Now I have had correspondence with another person I trust in the industry: ‘Michael Giacchino was considered. No one is officially on Star Wars Rebels yet.'”

As well as scoring numerous Abrams films and television shows, Giacchino also wrote the music for Star Tours II in accordance with the aforementioned Williams.

There were rumours he would work on the new Star Wars trilogy until Williams himself was confirmed as coming back.
