Point Break remake has its Johnny Utah

February 25th, 2014 by Edwin Torres Jr Comments

So it seems the  Point Break remake is actually moving forward. Ericson Core (Invincible) is directing the film, which already has Gerard Butler attached as bank robbing surfer Bodhi, a role originally played by Patrick Swayze.

Bodhi’s nemesis and partner Johnny Utah, a role originally played by Keanu Reeves, will now be played by Luke Bracey. Bracey played Cobra Commander in last year’s sequel G.I. Joe Retaliation, and also had a role in Monte Carlo starring Selena Gomez.

The remake will have the same premise of the 1991 Kathryn Bigelow original, with an FBI agent infiltrating a ring of criminals. But will this time be set in the world of extreme sports, instead of just surfing.

What do you think?
