Ravencroft Security and their best friends

April 24th, 2013 by Irwin Fletcher Comments

So on day 54 of production on The Amazing Spider-Man 2, director Marc Webb has revealed,  on Twitter, a new aspect of the security team working for the Ravencroft Institute for the Criminally Insane. They’ve got dogs. The pic came with the following note:

Day 54 Ravencroft Christmas Card

Ravencroft was first introduced to Marvel comics in 1993’s Spider-Man Unlimited #1, Ravencroft is, essentially, to the Marvel what Arkham Asylum is to DC. ( an unsecure place that villains escape from at will) Ravencroft has housed foes like Carnage, the Jackal and Vermin, Electro, Vulture, Dr. Ock, and Massacre among many others. Who will be there in the movie is unknown, but I’d expect a few at least. Probably Curt Connors aka the Lizard too.

“For Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.”

The movie also stars Martin Sheen, Shailene Woodley, Paul Giammatti, Felicity Jones, and Colm Feore, and it swings into theaters on May 2nd, 2014.
