With the Wonder Woman casting news taking all the attention it may have went unnoticed but that’s not all the Batman Vs. Superman news. Variety is reporting that according to insiders several members of the Justice League will be in Batman Vs. Superman, with Flash being a “lock” for an appearance in the film. They add it’s unclear whether it’s a significant role or a cameo.
Another tidbit they mention is Warner Bros. is looking to cast the villain of the film with Zero Dark Thirty and 300: Rise of the Empire star Callan Mulvey as someone they’re eyeing to play the role.
Will he be Lex Luthor or someone else?
UPDATE: According to ThinkMcFlyThink Mulvey is being considered for Metallo but was considered for Lex at one point.
Batman Vs Superman (or whatever) is being scripted by David S. Goyer from a story he co-created with Snyder. Man of Steel‘s Henry Cavill will reprise his role as Superman in the film, Ben Affleck is Bruce Wayne/Batman and Gal Gadot is Diana Prince/Wonder Woman. Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane will also reprise their roles in the sequel.
It is scheduled to hit theaters on July 17, 2015.
