RUMOR: Is Zack Snyder considering Watchmen star Jeffrey Dean Morgan for Batman?

So time for a Batman update. The list of possible contenders for Batman in the Man of Steel sequel gets another name added. According to Think McFly Think, Watchmen‘s Matthew Goode is being joined by co- star Jeffrey Dean Morgan as candidates for the role of the Dark Knight. The actor who played the Comedian in Snyder’s watchmen is said to be meeting with director about the role.

So far we’ve got Josh Brolin, Ryan Gosling, Joe Manganiello,  Richard Armitage, Max Martini, and Matthew Goode according to The Hollywood Reporter. Latino Review added Gerard Butler to the list. Jeffrey Dean Morgan is the latest name to emerge.

Batman vs. Superman (or whatever) will be written by David Goyer, directed by Zack Snyder and star Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane. Batman has yet to be cast and it’s most likely targeting a Summer 2015 release.
