Marvel Studios has found its Doctor Strange director! Sinister and The Exorcism of Emily Rose helmer Scott Derrickson will take on the Sorceror Supreme!
Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige has said the vibe they’re going for with Doctor Strange is:
“a Ditko/Kubrick/Miyazaki/The Matrix mind-trip.”

Stan Lee and Steve Ditko created the character in 1963 as a neurosurgeon who serves as the Sorcerer Supreme, the primary protector of Earth against magical and mystical threats, with powers of sorcery, mysticism, and martial arts.
Although no release date for Doctor Strange has been announced, Marvel has two placeholder dates set for unknown projects on July 8th, 2016 and on May 5th, 2017.
