A new sequel to the classic horror film The Blair Witch Project is set for release this September.
In an announcement which shocked fans at San Diego Comic-Con, Lionsgate revealed that their upcoming film, The Woods, was in fact a sequel to the horror classic 17 years after its original release.
‘Blair Witch’ follows a group of college students who venture into Maryland’s Black Hills Forest to uncover mysteries surrounding the disappearance of James’ sister, who many believe is connected to the legend of the Blair Witch. During the group’s hunt, they are visited by a menacing presence.
Directed by Adam Wingard, the Simon Barrett-penned film stars James Allen McCune, Corbin Reid, Wes Robinson and Valorie Curry.
