Not much for subtlety are they?
Sony has released these nine new images of The Amazing Spider-Man 2. We see everything from more of the Rhino (Paul Giamatti), to Stan Lee, to Dane DeHaan doing some filming. But it’s the image above of a studio exterior painted with “Sinister 6″ that’s got everyone talking. That’s pretty much a confirmation that The Amazing Spider-Man franchise is headed towards having the supervillain team face off against our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.

“In The Amazing Spider-Man 2, for Peter Parker, life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen, high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro, emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn, returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.”
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, Colm Feore, Paul Giamatti, Chris Cooper, Felicity Jones and Sally Field.
The film is set to swing into theaters May 2nd, 2014.
