Paramount Pictures is so pleased by the $93.7 million global debut of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles this weekend, that it is already moving forward with plans for a sequel to the reboot.
Of that total, $65 million was done domestically. The budget for the film was $125 million.
Michael Bay will once again producing, and screenwriters Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec (Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol) returning to pen the script. No word on a director yet.
The sequel will hit theaters on June 3rd, 2016.
