Telltale’s The Walking Dead Season 2 listed for December 17 release?

December 6th, 2013 by Irwin Fletcher Comments

Telltale is yet to officially announce a release date for episode one of season two, but has previously stated it would be available by the end of 2013 on PC, Mac, home consoles and iOS. While the Steam page suggests the game’s PC release date is december 17th, it is not clear when the game is due on other platforms.

Telltale Games has previously said season two will also arrive on “additional platforms to be announced later”.

Season two focuses on the predecessor’s central character Clementine, with players taking control of the young girl to “outwit both the dead and the living in situations that will test their morals and control the flow of the story through their decisions and actions”.

Telltale’s desription for the game reads:

“Many months have passed since the events seen in Season One of The Walking Dead, and Clementine is searching for safety. But what can an ordinary child do to stay alive when the living can be just as bad – and sometimes worse – than the dead? As Clementine, you will be tested by situations and dilemmas that will test your morals and your instinct for survival. Your decisions and actions will change the story around you, in this sequel to 2012′s Game of the Year.”

Like with the first game, Season 2 will comprise five episodically released installments and will run throughout 2014. They’ve already released the first screen shot which shows a returning character.

The Walking Dead Season 2 is available for pre-order now on PC and Mac via Steam or the Telltale Games Online Store. A Season Pass granting buyers access to all five episodes in the season is priced at $22.49 / £17.09.
