Vincent D’Onofrio joins Death Wish remake

Vincent D’Onofrio has been cast in a remake of 1970s violent action thriller Death Wish.

According to Deadline, the Jurassic World actor joins Bruce Willis in an unnamed role. Hostel director Eli Roth will helm the film which was first released in 1974.

Charles Bronson then played Paul Kersey, a New York City architect and Korean War veteran put on a dark path of vigilante vengeance after a home invasion saw his daughter raped and killed and his wife left comatose. Based on the novel by Brian Garfield, the film was followed by four sequels.

Death Wish will reportedly begin production on September 26 in Montreal and Chicago.
