Vincent Pontbriand from Ubisoft took to Microsoft’s E3 stage to showcase Assassin’s Creed: Unity, the upcoming next-gen exclusive game in the stealth action franchise.
The game will allow players to form their own brotherhoods of Assassins for the first time, evolving the series’ multiplayer into a four player co-op experience over Xbox Live.
Unity is set during the French Revolution. Gameplay shown depicts a squad of assassins infiltrating a beautiful mansion on a mission to disrupt a gathering of the bourgeois rich. Enemy AI seems impressive, with guards distracted by pretty maidens and otherwise reacting to their surroundings. Team mates were identified by icons overhead, making them distinct to their fellow players. The game world showed a fantastic level of detailing, from stains on buildings to the impressive interiors to blood on the wall from your kills.
Assassin’s Creed: Unity will release on October 28th for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
