Universal Orlando Resort is to be getting a new Fast and Furious: Supercharged ride.
According to Universal, the new Fast & Furious attraction will offer “a high-octane journey that fuses an original storyline and incredible ride technology with everything that fans love about the films—popular characters, exhilarating environments, nonstop action and, of course, high-speed cars.”
The Fast & Furious franchise is one of the biggest movie franchises of all time. Together, all seven instalments have grossed nearly $3.9 billion at the worldwide box office with Furious 7 now the fifth-highest-grossing film of all time. It is therefore not surprising Universal want to immortalise the experience as a ride.
Fast & Furious: Supercharged will replace Beetlejuice Graveyard Revue and Disaster: A Major Motion Picture Starring You! at Universal Studios Florida.
The video below gives more information on what the ride will be about and what we can expect. The only problem I find is that it’s solely based in America so for the rest of the world, it will be a bit of a trek to have a go.
The attraction is set for a 2017 opening so save those pennies.
