WATCH: First trailer for Keanu Reeves’ directorial debut Man of Tai Chi

April 20th, 2013 by Edwin Torres Jr 1 Comment

When one thinks of Tai Chi it’s hard not to think of parks and sunny afternoons. Apparently Keanu Reeves’ version has a lot more kick ass action. Reeves is pulling double duty as both the director and the villain. The little we know about the story involves:

“a young martial artist whose fighting skills brings him to a realm of vast opportunities, and painful choices.”

In case you were wondering the fight scenes are being directed by legendary action choreographer Yuen Woo Ping (the Matrix Trilogy, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon).

There’s no release set for the U.S yet. Watch the trailer and let us know what you think.

Also listed in the cast is Iko Uwais of recent martial arts movie The Raid. Will be interesting to see him in a movie against different styles of fighting.
