The wait is over. The official trailer for the Veronica Mars movie that the fans helped get made is here. The movie raked in a record-setting $5.7 million in kickstarter pledges. Contributors enjoyed incentives like T-shirts, DVDs and other goodies, but the biggest perk of all for fans of the TV drama is finally getting the movie itself.
In the story, Veronica (Kristen Bell) is living with Piz (Chris Lowell), but is asked to go back to her hometown Neptune by Logan (Jason Dohring). He wants her to help him because he is being charged with the murder of a pop star. Her return coincides with their 10 year high school reunion, so there’s no doubt that things are going to get complicated.
Directed by Rob Thomas, the movie also stars Ryan Hansen, Krysten Ritter, Percy Daggs III, Tina Majorino, Francis Capra, Ken Marino, and Enrico Colantoni.
The movie is set to be released on March 14th, 2014.
