The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Arrested Development actor Will Arnett has been cast in the Michael Bay produced film, Ninja Turtles, in a mystery role. Arnett’s casting comes only weeks after the motion capture roles of the Ninja foursome were taken by rising stars Noel Fisher, Jeremy Howard, Pete Ploszek, and Alan Ritchson. Arnett Joins them and Megan Fox who is playing their human friend, April O’Neil.
Although his role is being kept a secret, THR reports he is not playing the still uncast Casey Jones, another human friend of theirs. The other two known roles in the movie are Master Splinter, the turtles’ rat sensei, and the masked villain Shredder.
The script is by Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec (Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol).
Paramount has set a June 6, 2014 release date for Ninja Turtles.
