January 21st, 2014 by Edwin Torres Jr Comments

We already knew that director J.J. Abrams revealed Sunday that he has a completed script for Star Wars: Episode VII, but now USA Today is reporting that shooting will begin in May:

“That’s the current plan. We have our script and we’re full steam ahead. Have script, will travel.”

When asked about any news regarding the story:

“We can’t talk about story yet.”

As far as casting details, Abrams said they would come:

“soon, and I look forward to that so that we can get past it and we can get on with it.”

Star Wars: Episode VII will be directed by J.J. Abrams from a script that he wrote with Lawrence Kasdan. The movie is rumored to focus on a new generation of heroes and could include appearances by Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford in older versions of their iconic characters from the original Star Wars trilogy. The film is expected to begin shooting in May of 2014 and will hit theaters on December 18, 2015.
