Woody Harrelson has confirmed that he will be playing a mentor role in the forthcoming Star Wars standalone film about Han Solo.
In a Facebook chat with Mashable, the Zombieland star said: “I’m a mentor to Han, but I’m also a bit of a criminal. I don’t think I should say much more than that because the Force is not allowing me.”
The movie, directed by Phil Lord and CHris Miller, is set for release in 2018.
The pair said they were excited to be working with the actor.
“We couldn’t be more excited to work with an artist with as much depth and range as Woody,” they said in a statement. “His ability to find both humor and pathos, often in the same role, is truly unique. He is also very good at ping pong.”
