With Daredevil a hit, and already renewed for a second season, all eyes are on the next Marvel/Netflix collaboration: A.K.A. Jessica Jones. We already know a bit about the show, including who will be on it and what main villain we can expect, but there’s still some grey we’ve yet to see.
Well, today we have the full-on synopsis for the series, one that paints a very different tone than we usually see in superhero stories:
“Ever since her short-lived stint as a Super Hero ended in tragedy, Jessica Jones has been rebuilding her personal life and career as a hot-tempered, sardonic, badass private detective in Hell’s Kitchen, New York City. Plagued by self-loathing, and a wicked case of PTSD, Jessica battles demons from within and without, using her extraordinary abilities as an unlikely champion for those in need… especially if they’re willing to cut her a check.”
So it appears that the darkness from this series will be attached to Jessica herself. Can’t wait to see how this plays out.
