Alden Ehrenreich says he’s signed on to play Han Solo for another couple of outings…

April 24th, 2018 by Marc Comments

While Solo: A Star Wars has been dividing audiences without even being released yet, with many feeling the Star Wars franchise is heading in a worrying direction under Disney (we’re not getting into it, google is your friend), we may not have seen the last of Han Solo on the big screen after this one.

Talking about playing the iconic character, Alden Ehrenreich has dropped what may e a big spoiler about the future of the character, saying he’s signed on for ‘three’ movies as Han: “I don’t know if that’s officially, uh, public. But—yeah.”

While we have to wait to see how the movie is received, we’d be liars of we said we weren’t excited for it, but honestly, Ehrenreich will need to really nail the role to even sort of come close to the legacy of Harrison Ford in the role.

Can he do it? We’ll tell you in a month, but we’re not surprised that, win, lose or draw, Disney have big plans for everyone’s favourite scoundrel.

Are you?

Solo: A Star Wars Story, set prior to the events of the original Star Wars trilogy, is slated for release on May 25, 2018.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
