There seems to be a list of actors floating around the internet that Warners may be considering for the role Hal Jordan in the upcoming Green Lantern Corps movie.

We reckon the list is questionable at best, especially because it includes Deadpool himself, Ryan Reynolds. This is doubtful for two reasons; firstly Reynolds already played Hal in the previous 2011 Green Lantern movie and secondly, well, he’s Deadpool!

Also on the list is Tom Cruise, Community star Joel McHale, the voice of Rocket Raccoon, Bradley Cooper, Lone Ranger star Armie Hammer (he’s definitely the one actor we reckon has a real shot here) and Donnie Darko star Jake Gyllenhaal.

We’ve also heard from a few places that X-Men and Westworld star James Marsden is in there.

McHale is certainly a possible choice as is Gyllenhaal and Hammer. Cruise would, in our minds, be too old for the role and we reckon with Cooper being the voice of Rocket in the MCU it’s unlikely he’d really be up for this.

Marsden could be a dark horse here as he starred in Superman Returns, so is no stranger to the DC Universe.

Interestingly, Bradley Cooper and the Joker himself, Jared Leto, were in the running for the 2011 movie before Reynolds nabbed it.

As far as we know casting news is still a way away, so we aren’t putting too much credence in this…

What do you guys reckon?
