And now Matt Reeves is looking like he’s done with directing the upcoming Batman movie…

Ah, come on warners/DC, what the heck is going on?!

After Wonder Woman lost its first director and then Flash went through multiple directors, including Seth Grahame-Smith and Rick Famuyiwa, we thought Warners would get themselves sorted… we know directors walking isn’t an unusual occurrence in Hollywood, but when it happens so many times at one place we have to worry.

Then it happened with The Batman solo movie when Ben Affleck decided to step down from directing duties and, to be fair, we understood since he was also writing, producing and starring in it… but now it has happened again!

After Affleck’s departure everyone believed Planet of the Apes and Cloverfield director Matt Reeves would get the gig and, lo, we were al right!

And now he’s stepped down too report THR: “A studio source confirms that negotiations have broken down. The possibility, however, exists that talks could resume when heads cool. The studio is intent on making the movie no matter what, as the Batman franchise has proven to be bigger than one person.”

While no-one is saying what has happened, we all are wondering what exactly is going on at Warners when it comes to the DC movies… don’t get us wrong, we love the first three movies but we have never seen a studio go through directors like this.

What ever is happening, please get it sorted because this universe of characters deserves to be treated properly!

What do you all think?

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
