Even though London, Olympus and the Angel have fallen, Gerard Butler is still standing strong with the Millennium Media franchise and by the sounds of it will be going strong for some time yet.
Alan Siegel, CEO of Alan Siegel Entertainment that produces the movies, has opened up about a fourth movie in the series, followed by a fifth and possibly even a sixth movie after the massive success of the previous trilogy.
Earlier this year at the American Film Market’s finance conference it was also revealed that the company is considering selling the IP to international companies so different spin-offs can be done in various countries and languages using local actors who could in turn come into the mainstream movies, helping launch careers of plenty of new talent.
“If we do it in India, the star of that could come into Angel Has Fallen 4. It could be a symbiotic relationship,” Siegel said.
This would be a smart move from the company as the movies are grossing around $500 million and most of that is coming from international viewers. China was a huge part of it with over a third of the profits being made there.
This would also allow the actors a little more time to themselves to either relax or work on other projects as there would be various actors to draw upon from a majority of countries.
What did you guys think of the Has Fallen movies? Should more be done or should they have just left it as a trilogy? You decide and ’til then, stay nerdy folks.
