Another two villains added to The Batman movie as Vanessa Kirby linked to Catwoman and Josh Gad steps away from Penguin rumours

Lots of rumours are floating around – no shock – about the upcoming Matt Reeves’  Batman movie starring Robert Pattinson, stepping into the batboys of Ben Affleck and who the caped crusader will fight against.

So you may recall (here) that word was the movie would feature several Villains including, principally, Riddler, Catwoman, Firefly and Penguin.

Well, added to these villains I’m now hearing we’ll also see Jervis Tetch AKA Mad Hatter (a male aged 40-50) and Harvey Dent AKA Two-Face (male 30s-40s) in the mix. However, obviously, there’s no promises this will happen.

But a more persistent rumour is that Mission: Impossible – Fallout and Hobbs & Shaw star Vanessaa Kirby is in line for the Catwoman role.

Now, after watching the trailers for Hobbs & Shaw (no, seriously, check her out in this!) I am completely on board with Kirby as Selina Kyle/Catwoman… she has all the qualities for the gig: she’s beautiful, smart and can absolutely kick-ass… so I’d say there’s something to this one.

In an interesting aside, Frozen and Pixels star Josh Gad, who has long been rumoured as being the lead choice to play Oswald Cobblepot AKA Penguin in the movie has taken to Twitter to tell us all that, sadly, he is not in line for the role:
