When it comes to the plot of Star Wars movies, there isn’t anything quite like the cast and crew’s Omerta-esque code of silence. Spoilers are safeguarded like the Queen’s jewels but actor Anthony Daniels, who plays C-3PO threatened to spoil the whole thing on Twitter.
Ahead of The Force Awakens, he recalled: “I said that I’d met so-and-so. An actor who plays a … thing in the film. A character. Immediately I received a message from Disney: ‘Remove the tweet! You’re not allowed to say that!’ Honestly. It’s a kind of Kremlin attitude.”
This week he threatened Disney once again: “Just read Ep VIII and thought I’d share the story with you because I know you can’t wait to hear it too. You do want to hear it. Don’t you?”
Yes, he most likely wouldn’t have followed through but the whole thing also could have been staged just for Rian Johnson to win over millions of sceptical Star Wars fans with this brilliant reply.

How about that? Was it a genuine plea to a disgruntled actor or was it a clever little ploy to build some confidence for the director? Who cares, really, because it was brilliant!
