Get ready… the Assassin’s Creed marketing campaign is about to kick everything up a gear. Or two.

20th Century Fox has released the above banner and the tweet at the bottom of the page seems to be the beginning of a viral campaign and seems to be telling us when we can expect to see the first trailer and perhaps even where.

Fox has debuted the official Abstergo website which links to the Tweet of business cards for company CEO Alan Rikkin has a phone number on it which, when called, has the following message: “Hello, you’ve reached the voicemail of Alan Rikkin. I’ll be out of the office on business until March 25 with limited availability.”

March 25th is the release date of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, so we’re guessing the movie may be carrying the trailer. Although it’ll more than likely be on the internet around the same time.

Justin Kurzel is helming the live-action adaptation, re-teaming with Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard, Michael K. Williams, Ariane Labed, Jeremy Irons and Brendan Gleeson.

The Assassin’s Creed movie centers on a man named Callum Lynch, who utilizes a new technology to access what’s known as “genetic memories,” allowing him to live as his ancestor, a 15th century assassin named Aguilar. Through these experiences, Lynch discovers a centuries-long war between the assassins and the Knights Templar — a war he’ll continue to fight in present day.

Assassin’s Creed hits theaters on December 21, 2016.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
