So now that we know a little bit more about the Justice League movie – admit it, you’re excited – we are really excited for the relationship between Batman and Flash, given the description of the scene in the movie that you can read here.
Flash has been touted as a lighter character than the other Leaguers, someone who loves being a hero and has fun with it – he’s been likened to Tom Holland’s Spider-man in Civil War, although we hate such comparisons.
And now Batman, Ben Affleck, has spoken about the relationship between Batman and Flash: “There’s a quality to really what Ezra [Miller] does that is young and fun and full of life, and excited about what they’re doing that’s so in contrast to who Batman is. There’s a little bit of that natural yin and yang to playing scenes with him,” says Affleck.
“There’s not the ward aspect to it, but there’s a little bit of the mentor – which you’d probably ask Ezra and he’d be like, “F@#k that! He’s not my mentor!” But I think there is a little bit. And it’s fun to play, definitely.”
We are really excited to see how the League all interact with each other in this movie… and, while we did love Batman V Superman, we think the lighter tone that will be brought by these new characters will be greatly welcomed.
In related news, a second trailer has been released for the upcoming Batman V Superman man Ultimate Edition (continues after trailer):
Other news too, a new banner featuring logos for Wonder Woman, Green Lantern Corps, Aquaman, Batman, Flash and Cyborg but no Superman or Shazam has been spotted at Licencing Expo 2016 ! Still, let’s not read into it too much. Here’s the logos thanks to the guys at CBM
And finally, from the expo too, collider have images of costumes, swords and shield from the upcoming Wonder Woman movie and we’re well impressed…
Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
