Bill Murray approves of an all-female Ghostbusters!

September 6th, 2014 by Marc Comments

Access Hollywood’s Scott Mantz got the chance to interview Dr. Peter Venkman himself, Bill Murray, and asked him how he felt about an all-female Ghostbusters movie. Murray said “It sounds great to me. It sounds as good an idea as any other! There are a lot of women that could scare off any kind of vapor! No, it’s a grande idea, I don’t know who they’re talking about, but it’s a good idea, I would watch it!  I mean, I love Robert Palmer’s videos, so why wouldn’t I love the female Ghostbusters?”

While we at FTN are in no way sexist, an all-female cast would be a bit much.  Maybe a nice mix of both genders would be perfect.  But don’t get us wrong, we’d love to see the likes of Emma Stone running around with a Proton Pack!  And if Murray is keen on the idea of a few girls making up the cast it could intice him into coming back?  After all he, just like Venkman, loves the ladies!

What are your opinions on a female Ghostbusters? Do you think it’s a good idea? Or do you think the franchise should stay an all man sort of affair? Be sure to comment below and tell us what you think!

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
