Bill Murray pulls a dick move and films cameo in Ghostbusters reboot

Two facts: One – we LOVE Bill Murray. Two – we’ve made our peace with Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters reboot.

However…

We think this is a dick move by Murray. What is? You cry!

Well, he’s filmed a scene in the new reboot.

Now, we’re reported that this might happen as far back as last Halloween (here) but we sort of hoped it might not happen. In fact we really didn’t want it to happen.

Why? Well, while we have made our peace, we still think it sucks that the new movie is a reboot and one of the biggest reasons the reboot happened rather than Ghostbusters III was because of Murray’s resistance to allowing the third movie to happen. He was renowned  for refusing to approve scripts and since he had a deciding vote, it meant the threequel never transpired.

And now he does this. We just think it’s a bit of a kick in the teeth for anyone who really, above all else, wanted GBIII.

Anyway, EW confirmed the scene is happening and here’s a few pick of him on the set.

Sigh.

Ghostbusters stars Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones and Chris Hemsworth. It hits theaters on July 22, 2016.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
