Well, here’s the first image from the set of the Blade Runner sequel, which warners has confirmed is now called Blade Runner 2019… but don’t get too excited.
The image (above) has just been released along with the movie’s confirmed title and features director Denis Villeneuve. Original movie director Ridley Scott and stars Harrison ford and Ryan gosling.
There’s not much info about the movie yet, so here’s what Deadline has along with the picture nad it’s one year today until it arrives:
Alcon Entertainment and Warner Bros. finally came up with a title for the sequel to the sci-fi fan favorite to the 1982 film Blade Runner. This one will be called Blade Runner 2049 in which Harrison Ford reprises his role. The movie, directed this time around by Denis Villeneuve (Arrival, Sicario, Prisoners), is set for release on Oct. 6, 2017.. The story is set several decades after the 1982 original and also stars Ryan Gosling. The film was written by Hampton Fancher and Michael Green, and succeeds the initial story by Fancher and David Peoples based on Philip K. Dick’s novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep. Most of the story details, however, are being kept under wraps.
