Bogus! Bill & Ted 3, despite all the excellent news a while back, may not be happening…

July 19th, 2018 by Marc Comments

So only three short months ago we were celebrating the return of our two favourite time-travelling rockstars, Bill S Preston Esq and Ted ‘Theodore’ Logan AKA Bill & Ted!

And now, it seems that, despite having a script, cast return and possible financing in place, all is not well at club Wyld Stallyns.

Talking to Yahoo! Keanu Reeves, the Ted of the duo, said things weren’t as awesome as previously thought.

“I don’t know if it’s a reality,” Reeves said when asked about the bodacious duo’s return.

“We’ve been trying for a long time to get that film made, and it still has its challenges.”

So, what gives, dude? Are there problems?

“I really love the characters, and I think we have a good story to tell. Part of it is show business stuff — financing, rights, deals. Nothing creatively.”

So creatively, he knows who Ted is now at this stage of life? “There’d be a lot about him that would be the same, I’m sure; his kind of optimistic naïveté in the face of the darkness will still be there. He has a child now, so I’m sure he’s matured.”

Honestly, this is very bogus news… but, like Bill and Ted themselves, we’re going to stay optimistic.

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
