Bond 25 had a villain and no may not as script getting full rewrite…

It seems that Danny Boyle’s exit from Bond 25 has left the production doing more that just looking for a new director.

First up, it seems that Wonder Woman star Said Taghmaoui is waitng to hear what’s happening with the movie as he may – or may not – be the villain of the piece as he says he was cast by Boyle but now has no idea what will happen: “We don’t know who the director will be, and the producers don’t know if they’re going to go Russian or Middle East with the baddie right now.

“I literally just received a message saying: ‘If they go Middle East, it’s you. If they go Russian, it’s someone else.’ It’s the story of my life. Always on that line between something that could change my life and something that disappears.”

This is interesting news as we had heard shortly after Boyle departed that it was over a disagreement with star Daniel Craig, specifically over the villain. Make of that what you will.

And now it doesn’t look like this will pan out too well for the actor as it seems the script is getting a do-over.

Word is MGM has hired Neal Purvis and Robert Wade to come back to Bond and pen the script for the 25th movie. The duo have been working on these movies since Craig’s debut in Casino Royale and had done the script treatment for this movie and now it looks like they’ll be full scripting it instead.

So it looks like there’s a long road ahead before this one starts production…
