Ohhhhhhhh… some exciting casting news as we’ve learned that the Irish legend Brendan Gleeson has joined the Joker sequel.
The In Bruges and Harry Potter star is joining Joaquin Phoenix who is returning as the titular character and also Lady Gaga who will be appearing as Harley Quinn in Joker: Folie à Deux alongside also returning Zazie Beetz.
Once again, this story will be co-written and directed by Todd Phillips.
Sadly, at the minute, there’s as little known about Gleeson’s role in the movie as there is about the movie itself which is rumoured to be set in Arkham and will be, at least in part, a musical.
Personally, I could see Gleeson as Jim Gordon but, honestly, he’s so good, I’d take him in damned near any role.
