If you are to be in attendance at Celebration Europe this year then you are in for a big treat. StarWars.com released a statement today saying that Princess Leia herself, Carrie Fisher, will be in attendance at the Star Wars festival this year. Celebration takes place in Essen, Germany this year and will run from July 26-28. Fisher will be there to greet fans and sign autographs in the Celebration Autograph Hall in addition to her on stage interview and question and answer session alongside Celebration host Warick Davis.
When asked about her appearance Fisher joked, “I’m always excited to do anything that has to do with Star Wars. It’s an opportunity to travel with my metal bikini and not take the opportunity to wear my metal bikini. Especially for Germans, the last group of people I’d want to offend, metal-bikini-wise.” Um, yeah, thank you for that Carrie.
