Excited by the Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer? We are.

Despite the huge geek-gasm that seems to have taken the globe by storm this week, Clarke Kent himself, Henry Cavill, is keen to stress that this film is more than just a  follow-up to Man of Steel.

Speaking to MTV, Cavill had this to say: “I wouldn’t call this a Superman sequel. This is Batman v Superman, so it’s a separate entity altogether. It’s introducing the Batman character and expanding upon the universe which was kicked off by Man of Steel… everything could change in the editing room, but as it stands it’s definitely an introduction to the character and ultimately an introduction to the Justice League.”

With appearances from Wonder Woman, Aquaman and possibly others, the film is definitely a lead-in to a future Justice League movie. That aside, it looks spectacular! Only 11 months to go…

Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice is due to be released on 25 March 2016.

Oh and Cavill has talked about who would win in a fight between superman and Batman…

He has been a self-confessed geek for as long as he can remember, having been raised through the 80s on a steady diet of Doctor Who, Star Trek, Red Dwarf and (sigh) Knight Rider. The death ray is currently in the works and one day you shall all bow to him, his giant space station and fleet of funky orange space shuttles...
