Channing Tatum says the Gambit movie is going back to the drawing board

If there’s one movie we’ve really given up hope of ever seeing, it’s the Gambit movie starring Channing Tatum.

The movie’s almost on then off again journey so far has been epic, but not Tatum has admitted that they’ve gone back to the drawing board with it:“Now we’re really getting to do some of the things we’ve always wanted to do with the script. We’ve just sort of started over.”

Started over again?! We were never sure the movie was so far along that there was anything to restart.

Tatum is saying that Gambit was trying to approach the comic book movie genre from a fresh angle, much like Logan and Deadpool: “I think we got lucky,” he said.

“We got hit with some setbacks and it was all for a good reason. We were trying to do something completely different. We were trying to do something that this genre of movie hasn’t seen before. We kept running into the same problems, and then Deadpool and Logan came through and kicked the doors down.”

So what say you all? Can a Gambit movie starring Channing Tatum be the mould breaker that Deadpool or Logan were?

Let us know…
