The MCU Movie machine is producing movies at an alarming rate!
Coming off the box office success of Black Panther, it looks like Marvel Studios is bringing us a Black Widow lead movie as MCU fans have been asking why she hasn’t had her own movie yet, ever since her introduction in Iron Man 2.
And with the character proving popular in the Avengers series it was a surprise that Black Widow was over looked for Captain Marvel, Starring Brie Larson, to be the star of the first female lead MCU movie.
Recently, however, Marvel reportedly tapped Jac Schaeffer to write a solo Black Widow film. The studio has not confirmed or denied the development of the film, but it seems Chris Evans, who plays Captain America, knows something we don’t.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight Canada (below), Evans, talking about the roaring success of Black Panther, seemingly confirmed the Black Widow solo movie. \
Speaking on the subject matter, Evans said: “There’s nothing Marvel can’t do, and I’m sure it’s gonna have the exact same effect when Captain Marvel comes out, and then the Black Widow movie comes out. Marvel just has the winning recipe and they’re kind of one step ahead of everybody else.”
If what Cap says is true, then we will all be stepping into the red room with Scarlett Johansson pretty soon but we do have to hold our excitement in check for the time being as Marvel Studios have yet to make an official statement on the movie.
