Complete 93rd Academy Awards winners list

April 25th, 2021 by Marc Comments

Despite it being the craziest year for cinema in memory – if not ever – the show, as they say, must go on.

And go on it did as The 93rd annual Academy Awards ceremony took place last night at the Union Station and Dolby Theatre, Los Angeles.

And, as Arnold Schwarzenegger pondered, it was amazing how so much talent on stage could be so boring.

Of course, they were up against a weird set-up this year with social distancing and other oddities but, as we’ve thought before, it certainly feels like this is the end of the Oscars as the audience this year was though the floor… I’ll let you come to your own conclusions as to why this was.

The full list is below and, If you scroll to the bottom, you’ll see Anthony Hopkins’ acceptance speech which he made on Twitter after the event as he wasn’t allowed to give his acceptance over Zoom… despite being in his 80s and in Wales. So, yeah, make of that as you will.

Anthony Hopkins’ Oscar speech:

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
