Simon Kinberg head of the X-men movies at FOX Studios has revealed that the third Wolverine movie, as yet untitled, has begun filming.
Kinberg added: “it’s a very radical, bold, different Wolverine than you’ve ever seen in any of these movies”.
“it takes place in the future, It’s violent, it’s kind of like a western in its tone”.
Many have speculated if the film would adapt the ‘Old Man Logan’ story from the comics which was an ‘Unforgiven’ style tale set in Wolverine’s future.
He also confirmed that this outing for everyone’s favourite canucklehead would have an R-rating. One has to wonder is this decision because of the success of FOX’s other R-rated franchise, Deadpool..
‘The Wolverine 3’ has star Hugh Jackman return in the title role for the last time and will also have director James Mangold return to helm the project. It’s due in cinemas in March 2017.
