We’ve waited a long time for Tim Burton to return to the glory days…

And we’re wondering if this could be it. Remember when Burton made Beetlejuice, Batman, Ed Wood, sleepy Hollow? We miss that guy…

Twentieth Century Fox presents the first look at Tim Burton’s MISS PEREGRINE’S HOME FOR PECULIAR CHILDREN. Based on the bestselling novel by Ransom Riggs, MISS PEREGRINE’S HOME FOR PECULIAR CHILDREN will arrive in UK cinemas Autumn 2016.

Tim Burton comments, “When I was first approached to direct Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children I was given a summary of the novel with all of the photos in the book. I was immediately intrigued by the haunting and mysterious pictures in Ransom Riggs’ novel and knew I wanted to tell the story of those kids. A girl, lighter than air, a boy with bees living in his stomach, a woman who turned into a bird—it was a world I wanted to explore. So I made a film about them.”

Author Ransom Riggs, who penned the #1 New York Times bestselling Miss Peregrines Home for Peculiar Children Series adds, “For something I wrote to have inspired Tim Burton to create a doodle on a cocktail napkin would have been an honour. But to stand ringside and watch him pour his whole heart into this film — that has been one of the great thrills of my life. I couldn’t be more excited if you attached electrodes to my toes.”

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
