Crossbones and Mockingbird Discuss Marvel Future

November 10th, 2014 by Todd Black Comments

When it comes to introducing classic Marvel characters in film or TV, whether they be heroes or villains, one has to wonder how close they’ll come to their comic counterparts. Two characters that were introduced to the Marvel universe this year have spoken about their characters and how far they may go into the future.

First up is Frank Grillo, who was introduced in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Many know that he’ll be Crossbones eventually, but when? And how many movies will he be in?

“I have a multi-contract deal with Marvel.” he said in an interview ” The movie [Winter Soldier] was an origin film for that character.  If you know the comic, he has a significant presence.  So, knock wood.  With Marvel, you can’t say very much, but I’m cautiously optimistic that we’ll have some fun, in the next few Marvel movies.”

It is also rumored that Crossbones could be the potential main villain for the solo Black Panther movie. The seeds of which will be sown in Captain America: Civil War.

And then there’s Adrianne Palicki, who plays Bobbi Morse aka Mockingbird in Agents of Shield. There were already conversations that she was talked to about being in the Avengers. Yet also there is the question of a possible romance between her and Hawkeye. The two characters have long been linked in the comics, but what about on screen?

“It is a huge part of Mockingbird, of Bobbi Morse, so I’m hoping to see that relationship in the future. So whether it’s getting Jeremy Renner on the show, or otherwise, you can’t really deny that’s a huge part of her character.”
