More goodies from D23!

Here’s some pictures and details from the big titles from Pixar coming in the next few years, courtesy of Coming Soon, including The Incredibles 2, Cars 3, Finding Dory and Toy Story 4 on and Moana starring the voice of Dwayne Johnson.

The Incredibles 2 will be from Brad Bird but no word on who is responsible for Cars 3.

Details have also emerged on Toy Story 4, however. It will be written by Rashida Jones and Will McCormack, based on an idea by John Lasseter, Andrew Stanton, Pete Docter, and Lee Unkrich and it will tell the love story between Woody and Bo Peep and will be in cinemas on June 16th, 2017.

Finding Dory arrives on June 17th, 2016 and will see all the familiar characters return along with a host of new fish faces.

Moana “is set in the ancient South Pacific world of Oceania. There, Moana, a born navigator, sets sail in search of a fabled island. During her incredible journey , she teams up with her hero, the legendary demi-god Maui, to traverse the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous sea creatures, breathtaking underworlds and ancient folklore.”

The last piece was for Zootopia; a bizarro world tale that features a world where the animals are the people and stars Ginnifer Goodwin as bunny police officer Judy Hopps whose first big bust is Fox Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman); it’s directed by Byron Howard (Tangled, Bolt) and Rich Moore (Wreck-It Ralph, The Simpsons) and co-directed by Jared Bush. Zootopia hits  cinema screens on March 4th, 2016.

We’ll keep the D23 goodness coming, guys…

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
