Well, it’s time for some new details from the DC Cinematic Universe…
First off, could it be happening? Could Superman himself, Henry Cavill be getting ready for Man of Steel 2?
Well, last week, before the Teen Choice Awards, Cavill posted on Instagram asking for votes and – in true Clark Kent fashion – wishing the competition the best of luck too – but he also hinted that we may be seeing him as Superman again… soon
What does it mean exactly? Well, who knows (except, probably Cavill himself), but it seems to be suggesting that it won’ be long until Superman Returns (I make no apology).
In related news though, Man of Steel (and Batman V Superman) director Zack Snyder was asked recently on social media if the Doomsday we saw in BvS was THE Doomsday or A Doomsday and, confirming what many fans believed, Snyder said that the real Doomsday ‘is out there still…’
Could that mean we may still see another, more comic-accurate version of Doomsday in the Cinematic Universe? Honestly, since he killed Superman already, we wouldn’t hold our breath. Still, it’s interesting.
In Suicide Squad 2 news, it seems that writer/director Gavin O’Connor is forming a squad of his own… of writers!
David Bar Katz, re-writer of the new Spawn movie as well as Superman bio play The History of Invulnerability movie, and Todd Stashwick – actor on Gotham and self-professed DC Nerd, are co-writing the script with O’Connor.
There certainly seems to be some talent in there as well as love for the brand, so we’re optimistic about this one.
In Flash news, Ezra Miller who plays The Flash/Barry Allen in the cinematic universe, has confirmed that he’s met with the movie’s writer/directors John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein – the guys behind Game Night. So that’s another ball that is finally rolling at Warner/DC
Ezra meeting Daley and Goldstein recently (the flash directors) confirms the rumor I heard over a month ago and let me just say.. a blood vessel popped folks pic.twitter.com/Xt8opD6GH6

And finally, remember a while ago it was reported that Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson might be one of the high-profile directors being considered for future DC movies (here)?
Well… it was all nonsense: “That’s not true. I had no discussions about that,” Jackson has clarified.
“I’m not a fan of comics, I’ve never read any, so I’m not particularly interested in adapting one for cinema. That’s not true at all. I’m not involved in any DC film or ‘Lord of The Rings’ series but I’m ok with it, I have plenty other projects that keep me busy.”
So there you have it… Doomsday out there, Superman possibly returning soon, new talent working on Suicide Squad, The Flash has met his directors and speaking of directors, Peter Jackson has never read a movie, so had no interest in making a comic book movie.
