Did Man of Steel actress Antje Traue just tease the return of Faora?

September 27th, 2018 by Marc Comments

With the DC Cinematic universe moving forward with the ladies of comicbookdom including Wonder Woman, Birds of Prey (here), Supergirl, Batgirl and more, one of their first tough women just made a bid for glory on her Instagram.

German actress Antje Traue who absolutely ruled as the Kryptonian warrior Faora in Man of Steel just took to her account asking:  “Talk to talk…do you walk the walk? Bored in the phantom zone”

Now, while this is likely just her joining in with the current appreciation for the ladies of DC (since she was the original) it has got the interwebs all a-talk.

Could the character be set for a return? After all Zack Snyder recently confirmed that she did not die in Man of Steel (here) and she could easily be a cracking foe for Wonder Woman, Supergirl or maybe the Birds of Prey… or remember last week we reported that Suicide Squad II was supposed to see the team go up against Dwayne Johnson as Black Adam (here)? Well, we learned that that script was finished and a replacement had to be found for Black Adam. What if…?

Or perhaps, even more exciting, now that we know Deathstroke and Lex are starting to build the Legion of Doom, perhaps Lex could free her with the Kryptonian tech he undoubtedly has and convinces her to join the fight against the Justice League and especially Superman for killing Zod in Man of Steel?

Look, I’m just spit-balling, but we here at FTN really want to see Faora join the battle again.

What about you?

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
