Did you know Lucas had plans for Han Solo in Revenge of the Sith

George Lucas wanted to include a 10 yr old Han Solo in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, but in a rare moment of leaving well enough alone, it was cut from the story. Apparently his role in the film was to be a helpful kid raised by Chewbacca who helps find the location of General Grievous. Solo had one line written into the script with Yoda:

HAN SOLO – “I found part of a transmitter droid near the east bay… I think it’s still sending and receiving signals.”

YODA – “Good. Good. Track this we can back to the source. Find General Grievous, we might…”

I’m actually glad this scene got cut, there was no real point for it other than to Wedge Han into the movie. (That was a Wedge reference). Plus it’s cannon that he meets Chewbacca for the first time and saves him, later while in the Navy.

I imagine the stand alone film they’re developing will focus on an older Solo. Probably in his scruffy nerf herding 20’s and perhaps, we can hope, with Chewie at his side.
