Get ready for the new daily show

Director Patty Jenkins already has plans for Wonder Woman 2

Ok, so here’s the deal. Womder Woman is getting great early word (little secret? We’ve seen it and it really is THAT good).

And we know that these days the amount of money a movie makes is rarely a reflection on quality but we hope that Wonder Woman makes a bucketload of cash because we want a sequel.

And it seems that director Patty Jenkins has ideas of where she wants to go next: before we met her in Batman V Superman and after we leave her in the solo movie: “It’s definitely something I’m very, very, very interested,” she said.

“I love what we’ve created and I love the team that I worked with doing it and these actors so much that, yeah, we’re all very excited to talk about continuing forward together.”

She says that Wonder Woman AKA Diana Prince should become an international hero – after all, she belongs to the world: “I think it’s very important that she goes on to be a very international superhero. I can’t wait to bring her to America as well.”

When we leave her in Wonder Woman it’s still World War I but the next time we meet her (so far) in the DC Cinematic Universe is in the present day of Batman V Superman. But what did she do in all the years in between? She tells Bruce Wayne in BvS that she left the world behind… but surely she was up to something?: “It’s something that one will know soon,” Jenkins said.

“Like, what she has been doing all of these years, but it’s definitely something I have thought a lot about.”

Let’s hope Wonder Woman performs as well as we hope, because that is a story we want to see…

Oh, and check out the first song released from the new movie:

Marc is a self-confessed nerd. Ever since seeing Star Wars for the first time around 1979 he’s been an unapologetic fan of the Wars and still believes, with Clone Wars and now Underworld, we are yet to see the best Star Wars. He’s a dad of two who now doesn’t have the time (or money) to collect the amount of toys, comics, movies and books he once did, much to the relief of his long-suffering wife. In the real world he’s a graphic designer. He started Following the Nerd because he was tired of searching a million sites every day for all the best news that he loves and decided to create one place where you can go to get the whole lot. Secretly he longs to be sitting in the cockpit of his YT-1300 Corellian Transport ship with his co-pilot Chewie, roaming the universe, waiting for his next big adventure, but feels just at home watching cartoons with his kids….
